Things to know before buying a washing machine
There’s nothing worse than buying a new washing machine, getting a home, and only then realising that you bought the wrong one! Unfortunately, this can easily happen if you don’t do a proper research before buying the new washing machine. We all use washing machines almost daily and they have become more and more important in life, which is why you must make sure you get the correct one for your household. Here are just a few of the things that should be considered by you and your family before purchasing your brand-new washing machine.
First of all, do you want an integrated washing machine or a standalone one. This is purely a question of personal taste that is something that needs to be decided early to make sure you make the right decision. The difference is an integrated washing machine goes inside a sort of mini cupboard and is hidden from view most of the time while a standalone washing machine is on view the entire time. If you want your kitchen to look smooth and modern it is probably best to get an integrated washing machine so that it fits in with the rest of the kitchen. If you aren’t too worried about how the kitchen looks then a standalone washing machine will be fine.
In general washing machines come in two different categories- front loading and top loading. In most cases front loading washing machine is give a more thorough clean and therefore you can put on more washes for less water. On the other hand top loading washing machines are usually faster so if you need your clothes washed quickly then this may be the washing machine of choice.
An obvious but important factor to consider when buying a washing machine is the size that you have available in the kitchen for it to go. Make sure you measure the space accurately so that you don’t get a nasty surprise once getting the machine home.
Another factor to consider is the spinning speed of the washing machine if it has a built-in dryer. The faster the spin speed the faster the drying time although for lighter clothes you may have to use a slower spin speed to avoid damage to the fabric.
Washing machines these days come in many sizes and types and you should do thorough research before deciding on which is the best for your family.
